What these technologies do
Cookies are small records placed in your browser. Browser storage holds information on your device, while scripts can provide security checks or measure page visits without using cookies. Different parts of the U Up service use these technologies for different purposes.
Website security and analytics
Cloudflare protects the website against abusive and automated traffic. Its security checks may set short-lived cookies and use request information to distinguish ordinary visitors from automated requests. Blocking security technologies may cause another check or prevent a page from loading.
Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views without analytics cookies. We use page-use information to understand which pages visitors use and improve the website.
Our website is served from U Up's Australian hosting infrastructure. GoHighLevel supports contacts and email delivery. Its role in those services is explained in the Privacy Policy. Website security and app storage serve different purposes from analytics, so cookie-free analytics does not mean that every part of U Up uses no cookies or browser storage.
Our company and policy pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to request those files, sharing technical request information including your IP address. If the fonts cannot load, the pages remain readable using a fallback font.
App sign-in and preferences
The app stores information in your browser to keep you signed in. Some is shared between tabs through local storage; some belongs to the individual tab through session storage. Local storage can remain after you close the browser.
Client and provider sign-ins expire after 30 days without use, with that period renewed when used. Staff sign-ins expire after seven days. Signing out ends the relevant sign-in.
Browser storage also remembers preferences and prompts you have already seen, carries your choices between booking pages, holds a guest age-check reference and keeps location choices during a search. These records are kept for different periods because they serve different purposes. Clearing them can sign you out or remove saved choices. Blocking required storage can prevent sign-in. The server still decides whether access is allowed.
Cloudflare's robot check helps prevent automated sign-ups. Browser storage or a saved display preference does not replace the server's age-verification decision: provider photographs and service labels remain unavailable until the required age check is passed.
Verification and payment services
Age and identity checks run on VerifyMy's systems. Card details are entered into the payment gateway's secure fields in the app. These services may use their own cookies and security technologies under their own privacy and cookie notices. Review the notices presented in those journeys for the provider's specific practices.
U Up receives the verification and payment information described in the Privacy Policy. U Up remains responsible for information it handles, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Advertising and marketing
We do not use advertising pixels, retargeting or cross-site advertising cookies. Marketing requires a separate voluntary opt-in. Signing up for an account does not subscribe you to marketing, and sensitive booking information is not used for marketing.
If we introduce a new kind of tracking, we update this policy before using it and apply any required consent arrangements.
Your choices
You can block or clear cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. Settings generally apply separately to each browser and device. Blocking analytics does not stop the website from working; blocking necessary security or app storage can affect access. Clearing storage does not delete records held by U Up: account closure and privacy requests follow the Privacy Policy.
