Content Standards

Who U Up is for

U Up is for adults aged 18 and over. Nobody under 18 may create an account, hold a listing, or make a booking. This is not a preference. It is a legal requirement, and we check it.

Providers verify their identity with a government photo ID and a liveness match before a listing goes live, and are re-checked every 30 days. Clients confirm their age before they are shown age-restricted material.

The two layers

Every listing on U Up is split into two layers, and every photograph is assigned to one of them by a moderator.

The public layer

Visible to anyone, including a visitor who has not confirmed their age. One photograph per listing, non-explicit only. That means clothed portraits and full-length photographs, lingerie, swimwear, and suggestive posing where the subject remains clothed.

Alongside that photograph, the public layer carries the provider's working name, suburb, age, rates and availability.

The verified layer

The rest of the gallery, the service list, and the provider's bio. Shown only after a check confirming the viewer is 18 or over.

Sexually explicit photography is permitted here, including nudity.

A photograph sits in the verified layer until a moderator moves it out. A provider's own marking at upload is advisory and is never sufficient on its own. Silence is never treated as approval: if nobody has looked at an image, it is not shown publicly.

Photographs: what is not allowed anywhere

The following are not allowed in either layer, and are removed when found.

• Any person other than the provider appearing in the image, including someone in the background, a reflection, or a person only partly visible. There is no approval path for an image containing another person, whoever they are and whether or not they agreed to appear.
• Anyone who looks under 18, or any styling intended to suggest a minor.
• Images that are not of the provider, including stock imagery and another person's photographs.
• Any depiction of sexual activity involving a person who cannot or does not consent, and any depiction of coercion or violence.
• Bodily fluids.
• Contact details, social handles, other platforms, or prices burned into the image.
• Weapons or drugs.
• Video of any kind, in either layer.

The plain test: explicit photography of the provider is allowed, and lives behind the age check. Anything showing another person, or anyone who could be under 18, is not allowed at all.

Written content

The service list is a fixed vocabulary chosen by U Up. Providers select from it and cannot write their own entries. Some of those items describe fetish practices, which is why the whole service list sits behind the age check.

A provider's bio is short and is reviewed by a person before it appears. It may not contain:

• Explicit sexual description.
• Contact details, social handles, or links to other platforms.
• Pricing or payment terms. Rates belong on the rate card.
• Anything suggesting a person under 18.
• Anything offering or implying an unlawful act.

Clients cannot publish anything on U Up. There is no messaging, no reviews and no free text. Everything a client sends a provider is chosen from a fixed list.

Self-harm material

Material that encourages, promotes or gives instruction for suicide, self-injury or an eating disorder is prohibited outright.

There is no surface on U Up where a user can post this. If it ever appears, it is removed immediately and the account is suspended pending review.

Absolutely prohibited, everywhere, always

• Child sexual exploitation material. Reported to the authorities, account terminated, permanent ban.
• Anything depicting a person under 18 in a sexual context.
• Non-consensual imagery, including intimate images shared without consent.
• Content depicting trafficking or coercion.
• Material advertising unlawful acts.

Where age-restricted material sits

U Up is deliberately built in two layers. The table below is the whole of it.

Anyone may see

• The provider's working name.
• One non-explicit photograph.
• Suburb and age.
• Rates and availability.

Only after an age check

• The full photo gallery.
• The service list.
• The provider's bio.
• Making a booking.

The service list describes specific practices and is age-restricted material under Australian law. It is not shown to anyone who has not passed a proper age check.

The age check is carried out by Persona, an independent specialist verification provider. U Up never receives or stores an identity document, a facial image, or a date of birth from that check. We are told only whether the person is over 18, by what method, and when.

The split is enforced on the server, not in the interface. Restricted material is not sent at all to a viewer who has not been age-assured, and the same rule is applied independently when an image is requested. The gate fails closed: any error, timeout or unavailable verification provider leaves it shut rather than open.

How we enforce this

Before anything is published

Every listing photograph is reviewed by a person before it appears. Every bio is reviewed by a person before it appears. A photograph is treated as restricted until a person classifies it.

When something breaches these standards

Enforcement is graduated and matched to the seriousness of the breach.

• A photograph slightly outside the rules, for example too revealing for the public layer: the photograph is rejected with a coded reason and may be replaced. No other consequence.
• A bio outside the rules: the bio is rejected with a coded reason and may be rewritten.
• Repeated breaches after warnings: the listing is hidden until resolved, and the account is reviewed.
• A serious breach, such as a third party in an image or a misleading identity: content removed, listing hidden, account reviewed.
• Anything suggesting a person under 18: immediate removal, immediate suspension, and a full account review before any reinstatement.
• Child sexual exploitation material: immediate termination, permanent ban, and a report to the authorities.

Every rejection carries a coded reason. The person is told which rule their content breached, in the same words used on this page. Nobody is refused without being told why.

The people who enforce this

These standards are given to every moderator and administrator who reviews content, and they are the only standards used. A moderator does not apply personal judgement about taste. They apply this document. Where a case is genuinely unclear, it is escalated rather than guessed.

Reporting something

Anyone may report content they believe breaches these standards, whether or not they hold an account.

In-product reporting is being built. Until it is available, reports are made by email to the address in section 11. Put URGENT in the subject line if the matter is serious.

Every report is looked at by a person. We confirm receipt, we act where the content breaches these standards, and we tell you the outcome.

Changes to these standards

If U Up changes what it allows, for example by permitting more explicit imagery, this page is updated first, and the change is assessed against our obligations under the Age-Restricted Material Code before it takes effect. A change of that kind would also require a fresh risk assessment.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
